Slackware and VLAN's

I have recently installed a Slackware 13 copy on a box for a test network with the intentions of making the slackware box a router. That isn't the issue, just background. Anyways, like any military member will tell you, higher ups want it their way and my superiors are no different. They asked for the slackware router to support VLANs. The furthest I've gotten with this is typing 'v-config add eth0 #' and it added whatever I typed in for numbers. I need to go further and assign names and such to these vlans but haven't found any good tutorials or how-to's. Any assistance will be awesome! Thanks a bunch ladies and gentlemen!

EDIT:

I know that stuff. I meant as far as Slackware wise because all the sites say to go to certain files and folders that Slackware doesn't have. I'll take a closer look and see what I can figure out.
