duncanbojangles Member Registered: Jul 2003 Posts: 34 Rep:	Slackware 4.0, ethernet card, and cable modem troubles Hey everybody. Just trying to get connected to the internet with my really old laptop running slackware 4.0(it's really "Tiny Linux", but it is based on slackware 4.0). Anyway, I tried running netconfig, but I still can't connect, not even PING! I need to know what to do in order to set up a pcmcia ethernet card so I could use my cable modem and get to the internet, and IRC! Maybe step by step instructions? I really don't know much about setting up networks and stuff so I'm going straight ot the source here.
