Angry SIS900 network card

I recently bought a m810lmr motherboard come with a built-in sis900 chipset network card. I installed redhat linux 7.0 kernel 2.2.14-16 on it . When i boot it the network card was detected but there is an error > eth0 : Error read epprom . i also did recompile the sis900.o and sis900.h as told by other linux elite.
I wonder anyone of you face this problem before and did solve it?
