SIOCDELRT: No such device

Hi all,

I upgraded my kernel to 2.4.19 and was trying to get the network up and running. But since the upgrade the ether net card doesn't get recognised. When i do ifup eth0 i get the following messages.

SIOCSIFADDR: No such device
SIOCSIFNETMASK: No such device

If i go back to the previous kernel i have no problems with the network.

Would really appreciate some help.

Thanks in advance.
Dimi
