Simple Network Monitoring (Uptime)

Can anyone recommend a network montoring tool or app that just monitors the network availbility over time? Like a simple ping that either responds or not, and gives a simple graph or something similar to show when a server was answering, and not answering? Am running Gnome (Ubuntu Feisty).
