SO, i have a computer with linux Slack 12,2. the computer has internet throught an wired card.
also, i have installed an Asus wireless card, WL-138G V2.

and i have an Asus EEE PC with an Atheros Wlan.

is it possible to connect the EEE PC throught wireless at computer and get internet access ?

if yes, how ?

i have big trouble with Asus WL-138G driver

first, i tried to install the official driver from asus.tw. FAIL !!!! to much for me

after i searched google and i find out that i need ndiswrapper and xp driver. also done that, driver installed succesufully, working....

for my linux box to become access poing, i need to execute the command:
iwconfig wlan0 mode Master
but the result is: Error for wireless request "Set Mode" (8B06) :
SET failed on device wlan0 ; Invalid argument.


on another forum i read that the problem is caused by the driver and that i should use the default driver


done that, same error.

the problem is that the command "iwconfig wlan0 mode Managed" works fine


any ideas? can anyone help ?
