Setting up Suse9.1 to use ADSL connection, on my Windows network.

First of all, i am new to Linux...

I have a Windows network of 30 PC's,
a Win2000 Server file server,
and a Linux box (Suse9.1) that is my internet proxy.

The internet connection is ADSL, and the linux box, our Service Provider set up for us. It is on 24hour, with no CAP.

No logins are neccesary for the internet then!

I have installed Suse9.1 personal with KDE on an extra pc, and i can get on the windows network.

What i just cannot seem to do, is get my new Suse9.1 pc to use the internet.
How do i set it up?
How do i configure it to use the ADSL?

Please help?

just need to clarify here...

are your other machines able to connect to the internet; or is it the suse machine that you're hoping to use to connect to the net with and share the connection with the other machines?

All my windows computers are on the net,
so they can use the ADSL internet proxy connection.

I just cant get the SuSe computer to connect to the internet through the ADSL internet proxy computer.
The proxy is a Linux computer to...

In windows you just tell a windows pc to use the LAN for connectio, tell it the default gateway, and tell it what DNS to use, and you are on.

But how do i configure Suse9.1 personal to do that?

Assuming your new box is on the network, just use your browser's config to point to the proxy machine's IP as a proxy server.

For a more general solution, go into Yast, network devices and set the gateway for your network card to the IP of the proxy machine.
