Available in March

http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/tg...glance&s=books

Has step by step examples on how to setup Samba in a variety of situations, including being used as a PDC, and including how to setup Samba in an LDAP and redundant environment.

The How To Guide (TOSHARG) is available as a pdf on www.samba.org - but it isn't "step by step" and can be very frustrating to follow at times.

What size of environment are you trying to implement?

Thanks,
Im interested in this too... I've around with Samba 2.x but now i've installed Fedora Core 1, which installs Samba 3.0. First thing i notice was that smbadduser is missing... other stuff changed too, but I dont know what and how... I need some quick step-by-step guide too... my environment is 2 or 3 machines sitting on one segment. The Samba 3.0 will be PDC... I'm not interested in an Active Directory domain (like windows 2000 domains)... just something like i used to have with Samba 2.x ...

Any hints and tips ?

I will be implementing on a small scale. I am running about 30 boxes with a mix of win2k/xp and Redhat 7.2/9.0.
