setting up permenant route on linux

Hi,

I need to know how do you add permenant routes on a linux box so that it stays permenant, the routes that you add via the route command goes off after reboot.
i know that you can add it in the rc.local.
i googled around for that and found that it is in /etc/sysconfig/static-routes. but i cannot find it in my box, i am running on fedora core 6 .
i need the name of a file that you can add, permenant routes.

Thanks for the help.

Regards
