By the way, the dyndns domain I gave you isn't the correct one. Try connecting to 247.homelinux.org on port 25!!!!:jawa:

Okay, I have given serious thought to what you said. And I realized that one of the reasons I switched to linux was to eliminate my usage of windows completely so I could live a care free life without having to worry about patches that need to be applied every second.

So I got my 2 bit brain working on a solution and I came up with one. It was to search heaven and hell for a linux driver for my USB modem. Luckily I found a modem driver for a modem with the exact same USB ID and simmillar chip-set as my modem.

Now I have to update my kernel (something I haven't done before) and configure the adsl modem then look into any errors which will take a few days. Once thats done, I'lll setup apache and I'm good to go.

Thanks for the advice, reminded me of what drove me away from Winblows!

Hey all,
"vxc69" What does b/c mean? and Why do I need a port forwarder?
I tried to restart the network but all it does is automatically activate eth1 (the NIC for LAN)
I will check on the rc.local thing though.
Thanx for the suggestions I will start right in on them.:D
P.S. What does BTW mean? I'm new to some of these acronyms.
