setting transmit rate on Ethernet NIC

The rate autosensing feature of my network switch is not correctly negotiating a transmission rate with my NIC. I need to manually set my RedHat 7.3 system to force the transmission rate of my NIC to be 100 Mbps at full-duplex. ifconfig does not appear to have switches related to transmission rate or mode. Does anyone know how to set this? Thanks for any help that you can offer.

This is network card specific - some can't do it - you have to check the module for the network card and find out what options can be passed into it.

Good luck,
