server will not connect using static ip, SMC8013WG-CCR. modem/router
 

Hi,

I have comcast business internet and I have a SMC8013WG-CCR modem/router. No matter what I try the server will not connect using the static ip. If I set it to auto obtain the IP address, it uses the dchp server on the router and everything works fine. Anyone have any idea on what could be wrong?:confused:

Try this, set your ethernet card to get things using dhcp. Then write down the config and modify your ethernet card for static ip using a ip address outside dhcp ip range. I think it will work.
