I was installing fedora core 3 with sendmail on my linux mail server and it was working fine ,
I was trying to enable my mail server to work with SMTP Authentication
I was add the flowing line :

define(`confAUTH_MECHANISMS', `LOGIN PLAIN')dnl

define(`confCACERT',`/usr/share/ssl/certs/ca-bundle.crt')
define(`confSERVER_CERT',`/usr/share/ssl/certs/sendmail.pem')
define(`confSERVER_KEY',`/usr/share/ssl/certs/sendmail.pem')
and also compile the sasel authentication using
cd /usr/share/ssl/certs; make sendmail.pem
after restarting sendmail I try to using my outlook exress to send mail via un authorize IP by using smtp authentication but during send mail my mail client don't using smtp authentication to authenticate smtp send , i was trying to use another client ( Thunderbirth ) but it was similar problem
any one can help me how to enable smtp authentication on my fedora core 3 mail server ?
I am fedora Core 3 full installation via sendmail-8.13.1-2 install bulitin it
