Sendmail not working between two users on physically same machine

HI

I have Rh9 - I have two normal users on it, and I want to send mail from one to the other.

However, when I send mail using KMail, nothing gets to the other user, and this error is in the /var/log/maillog:

pr 19 16:52:29 StefanLinux sm-msp-queue[2206]: i3J9QjiA003423: to=yzelle@localhost, ctladdr=rylan (500/500), delay=05:25:44, xdelay=00:00:00, mailer=relay, pri=480397, relay=[127.0.0.1] [127.0.0.1], dsn=4.0.0, stat=Deferred: Connection refused by [127.0.0.1]

So my problem is apparently "connection refused by [127.0.0.1]" - which is the localhost, which is correct - I am trying to send mail from one user on the localhost to the other.

How do I fix this?

Thanks!

I've heard that Red Hat's default sendmail configuration is set to not listen to TCP/IP requests.

Postfix is easier to work with, more secure and generally better - if feasible I'd install the postfix and switch-mail packages and get postfix going instead.
