Unhappy sendmail

Well, this is my first post. I am trying to configure a SMTP/POP3 server on RedHat7.1. I am using sendmail and (IMAP pkg/just pop3)I feel fairly confident about the sendmail portion but I am a bit confused about what needs to be configured on the pop3 side of things. I can telnet to 25 and 110, respectively and I do seem to be authenticating from my pop client on my windows machine but I never see any mail being pulled down - no error messages. Here is the weird part, the mail appears to leave my client (which is lookout express - just for testing) , nothing ever builds up in the local sent items. Any suggestions on where to start poking around will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Knobler
