Thumbs down Secure connection under Linux


I am facing difficulty in having a secure connection in linux. i am using th opera and mozilla browser. whenever it has to go to a link with a https::\\ connection it gives not found. i am using internet on a lan via a proxy. https can be opened via Internet Explorer on Windows but not in linux. Please help.

Howzit

Have u check that u have openssl package installed also check to see if u have mozilla-psm package installed this package is the ssl support for mozilla

Are you on a corporate LAN? If so, and you're behind a proxy, then you will have to configure Mozilla to use the proxy, if you haven't done so already. Check the proxy settings in IE (internet options/connections/LAN settings) and see if it lists a proxy server. It might list either a server IP/name, or a configuration script. From there it is just a matter of matching the settings in Mozilla.
