save the network settings

I disabled X to maximize the performance. Then I don't have graphic network configuration tools.

Every time I restart the computer, I get old IP on eth0. I may reconfigure eth0 by "ifconfig" and update the routing table by "route". However, the computer does not memorize these changes. Next time the computer restores the old one. Does anyone know how to make permanent changes?

edit /etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0 should have an IPADDR= line to change.
