Samba works with one windows computer, but not the other?
This is one weird problem. I don't know much about samba. I use Ubuntu and connected to one windows computer just fine using (in Gnome): Places -> Connect to Server...
Windows Share, 192.168.1.100, SharedDocs, (rest empty). Worked fine! But when I try the same thing with 192.168.1.103, it says "SharedDocs couldn't be found. Perhaps it has been recently deleted. If I go to smb://192.168.1.100, it will list the folder 'SharedDocs.' If I go to smb://192.168.1.103, I don't get any errors, but it doesn't list anything. Network is FSNETWORK rather than MSHOME. I can ping back and forth fine. 103 works fine on other computers. Any help appreciated. --William |
Well, changed the ip of 103 to 101 and disabled authentication. Dunno which one it was (probably the latter...), but it worked.
