Samba with WinXP and Win98

I have a Slackware File Server on a network strictly using windows xp pro, and they have no problem. Soon I need to add an older Win98 machine and have it be able to access it's own new Samba share.

Is there anything I have to do special to allow that machine to access the new share without screwing up whats already in place for the XP machines? I haven't worked with 98 in a while, and i can't find a definitive answer to the question.

There shouldn't be too much problems, just make sure the network settings are the same and that the win98 machine is in the same workgroup as the XP's.

Does win98 login the same way as XP? Does it send the main windows logon username/password to auth with samba?

my experience with samba is limited, but yes, i believe it does
