Samba Reconnect Question

Ok, I have samba running on redhat 9. I don't seem to have a problem connecting to the shares if... the redhat machine has finished its boot cycle before any of the workstations are booted and try to connect.

If for any reason the linux box is restarted while the windows machines are running, I get an error when windows tries to access one of the shares... The samba share does show up in my network places, but I also get a error when trying to drill down from there as well

Both workstations and laptop are running windows xp. It does not matter what workstation tries to connect....

Any help would be appreciated....

Rebooting servers and expecting any Windows client to stay happy is expecting rather a lot wouldn't you say? I think this is a Windows feature rather than a Samba bug - but even if XP has some ways of sorting itself out when Windows servers are rebooted - it's not something you want to do in a production environment! Normally you at least warn users to save their work and logout before you do such things!
