HI All,

I am running RH7.2 and found problems on startup SAMBA. Everything seems is works of smb.conf. It appears errors while connect from M$ win98.

I type in "smbclient -L 192.168.1.10 (the samba server)" to test
1) from 192.168.5.10, errors show
"session request to 192.168.5.50 failed (Not listening for calling name)
session request to 192 failed (Not listening for calling name)
session request to *SMBSERVER failed (Not listening for calling name)"

2) from other RH, errors show
"error connecting to 192.168.5.50:139 (Connection refused)
Connection to 192.168.5.50 failed"

Please give me some advice, thanks

i assume that the ip of the host u wish to connect to is 192.168.1.10 and dunno what is 192.168.5.50 in your network...
just try smbclient -L NAME -I 192.168.1.10
that should work
and i dont really understand your question cause u are saying u are getting errors when connecting from MS windows
but u are only explaining the problems from RH...
