If you want to add new samba users,
at the command line, use the following syntax:
Code:
smbpasswd -a newSambaUser

sorry smbpasswd is the command that gave the error I should have posted that as well.
I have not as of yet been able to get any machines logged on. I have a mandrake 9.1 connected to the internet through ethernet. I have a second ethernet card that runs to a hub that I have a computer running windows XP pro running on. I have internet access from the XP machine through the linux machine that has masquerading enabled. So my dhcpd and dns is working. when I try to join the domain with the XP machine I get an error that the DNS could not reslove the host name. I have added the host and the xp client to the Hosts file and in host.conf it is "order hosts, bind" so I am a little perplexed at this. I am trying to set it up as a domain.
