Samba problem

OK i can now see my share in windows and linux under the user exio. But i still do not have write permitions.

the share in smb:

[data]
comment = Nick's Service
path = /data/Data
read only = no
writable = yes
public = yes
write list = exio

Any ideas as to why i do not have wright permitions???

Please refrain from using that sort of language and concentrate on providing informative titles. It's not really appropriate for this site.

What are the file system permissions on "/data/Data"?
ls -l /data/Data

If the HDD mounted on "/data/Data" is NTFS, than that would certainly result in users not being able to write to it. NTFS mounts as a read-only file system (for now, anyway).

Please do not post the same thread more than once. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.
