Samba OXtender

I am in the process of trying to implement OpenXchange and the vendor is recommending that I purchase Samba OXtender to ease the process of MS workstations trying to connect to linux shares. This will basically make the linux system seem to the users as a MS Primary Domain Controller thus being able to share files, printers and etc. It is around 350 bucks. Do I need it or is this just the vendor trying to make more of a sale?

Good Day

Setup Samba manually, more fun..or if you want a Samba PDC look at AVA-SBS on Sourceforge...

Cheers
