Samba On Slackware 9.0

Hello, I have used Samba before on red hat 8.1 and 9.0 but now that im trying slackware 9.0 i dont know how to get it working. I am using my smb.conf that i know works, but when i try and use the redhat command "service smb start" it doesnt recognise it. How should i set up my samba on slackware? Im kinda a newbie to slackware and even to linux in general. Thanks in advance,
