Samba - NT problems


I'm using a Redhat 7.3

I'm trying to install a Linux server for my company (I'm a trainee), they want to test it (they are using of course windows), i have to show them that it can works ... Please help !
They want me to write a tutorial for them !!
I'm newbee in Linux too


The problem :
From the WinNT 4 Workstation, I can see the Linux machine, but when I'm trying to browse it tells :
"The Network path is not find"

Another things strange
From Linux, i can see everything.
When using testparm, it works, but i cant see my samba files from nautilus ?!...

When searching my Linux computer from windows, it works only when i'm putting the full name of the computer, but it doesn't work when i'm trying with IP !!

and Telnet doesn't work...

I've spent so many hours trying to configure it !!

If it works only with IP, there's a problem with network configuration (and may result in problems with telnet, too).
Look which IP does your Linux box use and check if it's correct (if your network uses DHCP check if Linux is using static IP). Then test pinging it from any other machine.
Your telnet problems may be also because of your firewall. Use ipchains -L or iptables -L (one of them will give a result) and check if you're not blocking low ports.
If still in trouble, send here:
for Samba problem - /etc/smb.conf
other network problems: ipchains -L, iptables -L, ifconfig, route.
