Samba not viewable from 2000 server
Hello,
I am having a problem with Samba and Win 2000 and would really appreciate it if someone could shed some light for me. I have a linux box running Redhat with Samba 2.2.8a running. I have tested it locally and it works fine. However, I can not get my Win 2000 server box to see it in the network, it only sees itself in the workgroup. The way the computers are set up is that there is a switch from the main jack with a cable directly to the linux box and a cable going to a netgear wireless router. The router is connected to 2 Win 2000 PC's directly.
_ Linux Box
X--------------/
switch \ _ Netgear Router-------/Win2000 #1
\Win 2000 #2
I am not able to see the linux box on the Win 2000 server! I can not figure out why. The one really wierd thing is that i can not ping the win2000 servers from the linux box (or i guess the router). I do not know if there is something misconfigured for the router. I was not able to find anything of such sort though. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
