Samba - My Config has something wrong

I am runnig samba and can read from my server. I have all permissions set for 777 becasue this is a home server and I am not out of the net with it. For some reason I can only read but not write to the drive. here's my config.... any help is appreciated.

I think you have a lot of global and share options mixed together. It looks kinda messy. But for the datadrive share try adding Browsable = Yes and Writeable = Yes options.

umair_rhn 09-24-2005 10:03 AM

these are ur configuration remove these n just set this instead of these
create mask = 0777
force create mode = 0777
security mask = 0777
force security mode = 00
directory mask = 0777
force directory mode = 0777
directory security mask = 0777

-------------------
set these

create mode = 0666
directory mode = 0777

just use these instead of the all above
try n tell me
okie take care

Still the same problem... I can see and take files from the server, I just can't write to the server. Any other ideas? Here's my new smb config.

Thanks... Dennis
