Samba input/output error
Hi all,
just set up a new Smba connection on my virtual PC.. host running winXP and guest is Linux Fedora. The problem is as follows: I am able to ping the eth0 using ping 192.168.0.2 from Linux no problem. when I set up the Samba share evey thing seems to be fine. even launching an # smbclient -L 192.168.0.2 gices me a list of the shares. teh command mount - smbfs -o username=e-regular,password=***** //192.168.0.2/hgfs ./mnt/krusty works fine. When I cd to /mnt/krusty and run an ls I get this error message: input/output error wow. what the?? Can anyone help me? I have set sharing on a folder on my winXP and the share name is krusty, This somehow does't make sense since the share is supposed to be called hgfs correct? I am not too sure what is going on, please help!! TIA e-regular.com |
