Samba file size limitation

I'm trying to transfer a number of large files to a server running Windows XP. The system I am trying to copy files from is a Suse 9.1 Pro box and the partition the files are located are on an XFS partition. There are a number of files that are even 10GB in size on it. I mounted the drive in Windows I will be using to store these files as /mnt/backup on the Suse 9.1 box, however, for some reason, cp won't allow me ot copy files to it larger than 2GB and rsync won't allow me to send over 2GB worth of files.

Where may the issue be here?

I don't know why you'd run into that problem other than possibly either running a VERY old Samba build, or the destination filesystem simply does not support files >2GB. I copy files >4GB to and from Samba shares all the time, and although it is PAINFULLY slow, it does work just fine.

Then what might the issue be? I'm trying to copy from XFS in Suse 9.1 Pro to a Windows XP Pro NTFS partition. I am using the latest version of Samba offered in that distro.
