How does one disable roaming profiles?
What I want to do is have the user log into the domain, but I want them to use their local profile, and not a roaming profile.

Dear all ,
all of u want to make roaming profile plzzzzzzzz help me that i dont want to save roaming profile to save in server i want that user profile save in its local pc not in server and only map a username drive which is situated on ftp server on my LAN not profile folder
HEEEEEEEEELLLLLLLLLLLPPPPPPPPPPPPPP thanks in advance
The way I do it at home is on laptop's I change to local profile so if you are not connected to the network you should be able to log on to your laptop anyway...these changes are all done in the local machine.
But if you like to exclude a couple och users in your domain not to get a roaming profile I don't know how to do that but if you read the long and fine Samba.doc there is probley a some settings to exclude on user.
There is a rather simple method to control a lot of Windows XP (Prof) Settings when it comes to roaming
Go to Start->Run and type "gpedit.msc"
Under LOcal Computer poöicy->Computer configuration->Administratitive templates->System->User profiles you can change a lot of these settings including "Prevent roaming profiles chamges to propagate to the server"
