Samba and WinMe

I have a Samba Server set up on one of three machines. I can see and open the shares with the WinXP machine but when I try to access the shares with the WinMe machine it prompts me for a network password but does not allow me to enter a user name. I have configured and enabled the user of the WinMe machine on the Samba Server. Could someone please help me.

Are you getting message on windos me on boot "Enter your network password for Microsoft Networking"Username and Password???

if not check your control pannel / network

Thanks! After some research and a little bit of trial and error, I realized that my WinMe machine has some bad files. I am gong to rid myself of WinMe and upgrade to WinXP where I've had success in configuring Samba and NFS.
