Samba and Win2000

I can't get my Win2000 box to see my Linux box. I can ping back and forth and have the Win2000 machine logged in as a valid Linux and SMB user. Any clues where to start looking? Thanks!

Thanks Marcus, that info was a big help. The solution was to edit my "hosts" file in the Win2000 box to allow the Linux machine to be seen by it's computer name.
