Samba

Hello,

Is there a way to configure how often the samba server reads the smb.conf file?

Thanks

I agree with simos... but how often do you need that.... I mean... every time you change the configuration of the smb.conf you could type service smb restart and that's all...

I don't want to do it manually. I am writing a script to allow users to create their own shares, but I don;t want to restart the server each time.
I know that if you make a modification in the smb.conf file and do not restart Samba, the modifications are applied automatically after a little while.
It's this "little while" I want to set, so that samba reads the file more often.

Thanks
