Hi everyone I know that there are lots of posts about samba however I am really stuck.

I have built a PDC with samba + LDAP using the guide from IDEALX.org with little or no problems. Both windows and linux machines can authenticate with LDAP and users can access shares etc...

We also have a windows 2000 server with Active directory running and are trying to create a trust between the two. I have created an account for the win2k domain on samba, however when i run the following command <net rpc trustdom establish vp-compass> I get the following message:
Could not connect to server COMPASS
Trust to domain VP-COMPASS established

When trying to verify the domain on the win2k i get a login prompt for a user with admin rights on the samba server. When I add the account I get validation failed, and no trust between the two!!!

If anyone can help me with this I would really happy... my brain is in the process of melting!

can you post your intall instructions I can't get it to run on my centos 4.1
