running ssh1 AND ssh2?

hi there, does anyone know if it possible to run both ssh1 and ssh2 on the same box? I need to reboot my box every now and then from a handheld device and I can't seem to find many apps that use the ssh2 protocol for handhelds, although there seem to be tons for ssh1.

I dont want to uninstall ssh2 since I use it when I log in from a desktop.

Any suggestions or advice would be great!!

Thanks!

The sshd usually offers both procotol versions. If the Protocol line in your /etc/sshd_config reads

Protocol 2,1

then this should be the case. Otherwise just change it and restart you sshd.

If you post your handhelds brand and version I'm sure people could assist you in finding a suitable app to overcome this problem.

Make sure you restrict access to sshd when you run protocol v1.
It is insecure and usage should NOT be enabled by default.
