RTL-8139 card left in bad state after Windows Hibernate

I have a no-name RTL-8139 network card in my computer, and I am having one problem with it in Linux: it does not work in Linux if just before booting Linux I shut Windows down using the Hibernate command. Specifically, the module loads okay, but it does not pass any traffic or even light up the little link/activity LED on my switch. If I shut Windows down using Shut Down or Restart, the card is fine in Linux. Obviously, the fault is with the Windows driver, and I've tried a couple of different drivers to no avail. (Windows includes a RTL8139 driver and I also tried the CD-ROM that came with the card). I am using the 8139too Linux driver. I rely on the Hibernate function (and it's Software Suspend 2 counterpart) to allow me to quickly switch between operating systems. Any help, input, or suggestions are greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for the tip there, penguin4. The solution actually turned out to be pretty simple: Under the network card's Computer Management properties dialog (in Windows, of course), uncheck "Allow Windows to turn off this device to save power" under "Power Management". This stops it from doing whatever it did to the net card after a hibernate, and the card behaves in Linux just fine.
