Routing with 3 nics

I'm running red hat 7 with 3 nics installed. eth0 connects to the local network, eth1 connects to the dsl modem and eth2 connects to the cable modem. When eth2 is brought up all computers default to using the cable modem. When eth2 is taken down, all computers resort back to using the running dsl connection. I'd like to be able to designate which computers on the network use which modem connection to connect to the internet. The computers on the network are all win98 machines and I tried changing the default gateway but it made no difference.

I think I would need to make changes to the routing tables but I'm not sure how to implement it. I read through part of the Linux 2.4 Advanced Routing HOWTO but still having trouble.

Any info appreciated.

Hi

I think u are using Local IP in ur local Intranet.

U can re route traffice while doing masquerading. Specify the source and destination and the Intercae. So the traffic will go in that interface

Leave my previous update

If u are connected to Two ISP. U cant route the traffic properly unless u have an AS. (Autanomous Number)

But u can effectively use the lines.

I think your cable ISP provide more bandwidh to u compare to DSL isp.

1. Put default gw to DSL ISP
2. Masquerade all ur Internal Traffic with Cable ISP's IP and send via DSL Line.
3. The traffic will go via DSL and it will come via Cable.

Try it
