Unhappy router Netgear RP614 webserver


ok i'm trying to make a webserver i did config the httpd.cof but i have a router with 2 pc conect one linux the other one is WIN but the webserver is getting the IP adress that the router give to it and i need the webserver get my real Ip because other people can't see my web because my route how i can comfig my router so the webserver can workkkkk


hrlp me please and sorry a bout my english

I don't know the make of your router,
but you'll have to make it forward requests
on Port 80 to the Web-Server.

you need to forward port 80 and port 443 to the webserver

yes

you want incoming port 80 to go to 192.168.0.2:80

or whatever the server ip is

port 80 is for http
port 443 is for https

and what about if i want to give t some friend a shell for web it will be 80 and 80 the samething?

what do you mean by shell for web?

login shell, like ssh

hosting another site, like virtual hosting with apache?


that's setup in apache and still comes in on the same ip and port

like www.mydomain.com = ip address 24.15.12.1:80

and www.otherdomain.com = ip address 24.15.12.1:80



same ip and port, different name. That's done with your webserver
