Router Lab unable to get out Linux -- Need help

Howdy Folks,
I currently have this set-up:

Comps -
Linux
Dual PIII 933Mhz
512 DDR ECC
2 NICs
Rh 9

Win
3 Win XP machines

This is how I would like to connect them to the net -

(Net) <---> Linux <---> CISCO 2820 Switch <----> Comps & 3 25XX CISCO Routers

I have Eth 0 set as follows:

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth0
DEVICE=eth0
BOOTPROTO=dhcp
ONBOOT=yes
TYPE=Ethernet
USERCTL=no
PEERDNS=no

/etc/sysconfig/network-scripts/ifcfg-eth1
DEVICE=eth1
BOOTPROTO=none
ONBOOT=yes
NETMASK=255.255.255.240
TYPE=Ethernet
IPADDR=10.10.1.17
USERCTL=no
PEERDNS=no

The CISCO 2820 is set as Follows -
IP Address: 10.10.1.18
Subnet Mask: 255.55.255.240
Default Gateway: 10.10.1.17
Management VLAN: 1
Domain name:
Name server 1: 0.0.0.0
Name server 2: 0.0.0.0
HTTP server : Enabled
HTTP port : 80
RIP : Enabled

When ever I try to ping from the Linux Box to 10.10.1.17 it pings with "Dest UN reachable." Also, a show of the Mac table on the switch does not bring up any. I am at a loss and any help would be appreciated. Thanks!

JT

P.S: I tried a cross-over cable and that doesn't help at all. I am out of ideas...

However,
I can now ping thru to my gateway from my routers and my XP box. However I can't resolve DNS. Which I suspect is one reason that I can't surf from my XP box... there could be others.

Am I going to have to mess with the IPtables and stuff to get it so that I can surf out. I plan to, but I would like to be able to do it now so that I can play games, check my mail.. use all my old bookmarks... that sort of thing. Thanks!

JT
