router in DMZ is not reachable


I have a router installed in the DMZ (so different subnet!).

I can ping the ip but when i trie to add the default gw:

route add default gw 123.456.7.8
SIOCADDRT: Network is unreachable



ping 123.456.7.8

If it's in another subnet you can't make it a default (aka "first hop" if that explains it better) GW.

Well ok, i (must) accept that, but is there a way to have an internet router in the DMZ ?

How can i add the route?
