Hello,

I'm using rlogin from a SUN to connect to a RH9 machines. After certain period of inactivity, the session to remote machine is closed.

Can i setup any timeout parameter?

Since it's been >48 hrs since your post, I'll jump in here w/ a potentially dumb Q/suggestion: What does the Sun FM for rlogin say about time outs? (My 4th ed. of Linux in a Nutshell says nothing about "timeout".)

Aside: Is Sun rlogin as insecure as Linux rlogin? (I.e., why are you using this at all?)

(GNU/Linux) ssh has 3 kinds of "keepalive" parameters, would using it instead solve your problem?

What Googles did you do?
