rh 7.2 and telnet

Hi,

I have a Red Hat 7.2 installation and am having a telnet problem. When I attempt to telnet to his machine from another host, I get this error:

telnet: Unable to connect to remote host: Connection refused

However, when use the command "telnet 0" from this local machine, I get right in. I checked the /etc/xinetd.d/telnet file and made sure that the "disable" line is set to "no". It appears that there is a configuration issue here but am not sure what that might be. Any ideas?

Thank you,

Thanks for the reply Siddiqu,

I fixed the problem by disabling "ipchains" and "iptables".
