From my understanding, Samba does not override Linux permissions, so set your Linux permissions to how you would like them. Perhaps 0770?

To ensure that any files created inside your Samba share(s) have the same permissions, you'll want to enter this where appropriate in
smb.conf:

create mask = 0770
directory mask = 0770

That should do it.

Thanks for the reply, create and directory mask can only change the permissions upon saving files on the shared folder. my objective is to restrict users to save .exe files in my samba and ive done this using "veto files" parameter but the problem is that there are some users trying to archive their exe files (e.g: .zip, .rar). thats why my question is if its possible to restrict exe files inside an archive file.
