restart without reason

I have a Slackware 10 system and I connect to Internet using dial-up. A few minutes ago, while I was connected to the Internet, my computer restarted.
Could you tell me why this happened and how could I prevent this from happening again?
Thanks!

Look into your system log file /var/log/messages. Is there anything that looks like an error message just before the reboot (all lines have timestamps)?
