resolv.conf overwritten on boot

I set up my own DNS server and would like my other machines to point to it. I changed my resolv.conf to my local server but everytime I reboot there must be a script that overwrites it to its original state. I'm running Mandrake 9.1. Even if I switch it in webmin it does the same thing. Any ideas?

If you are using dhcp to assign your ip address, this can be (often is) configured to update your /etc/resolv.conf settings as well as provide your ip address.

I am not sure what Mandrake uses for dhcp configurations, but it is probably "pump". Look at the pump man page for details, but the -d command line option turns off the auto update of /resolv.conf. The default config file for pump is /etc/pump.conf.
