Require assistance in Red Hat 9.0

I don't whether this is a suitable place to ask but I am new to linux and I have just install Red hat 9.0 on my other computer which I would like to learn. My problem is, I can't seem to connect to the internet.

I am using a Netcomm NP1100 as well. When I try to add a network card there is lots of driver list. I try using RTL-8139/8139C/8129C+ as well and click on activate the card. And then I get a message saying something like "The card is not present blah blah" I check the back of the comp and see that there is light behind the card.

There is lots of other drivers on the list but I do not know which one to choose from.

By the way, what I am trying to do is have this computer connect to my linksys router(wired).

I'm really frustrated that now I have a few weeks of spare time which I want to do something productive and learn linux, but now I'm stuck at this part and kinda give up because there is no one that I know of that could help me.

Any kinda help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance!

P.S Someone had told me that Red Hat would be the easiest for a beginnner that are moving from Windows and would like to learn about linux.

Please post the output from the following commands from a terminal.

/sbin/lspci -v

/sbin/lsmod

/sbin/ifconfig -a

Good luck.

The output for the first command you have given is very long, how would I go about in copy and paste those information onto this computer?

The second command is long as well

and the third one is local loopback

Do you have a flash drive or any means by which to tranfer a file? If so copy and paste the info to a file and transfer that way.
Good luck.
