request reply (sendmail)

Hi!

Does anyone know how to configure a mail client, or the server to request a reply to the mail he just receved?

Thx in advanced

PS i'm using sendmail

I think that is specific to the email client the person receiving the email uses,
you certainly won't get a recipt from me.

There is the "web bug" trick. You send an html email with a link to a 1x1 pixel image with a unique filename then check the logs on the webserver to see when the image is loaded. Of course it dosn't work if they have image loading turned off or use an email client that dosn't support html.

Do you mean a read receipt?

so the secret is in the mail client and the mail you send...
i'll give it a shut thx a lot

Yup, not all mail clients support asking or sending receipts, though.
