I've been using rsync for almost 8 years now but this is a new one. For every file that I've previously copied using rsync, I get an error like this:
Pictures/Kinkos/Kinkos 370/Image08.jpg": Inappropriate file type or
I don't have control over the remote server but I think the problem is on my end since none of their other customers are complaining.
My rsync command is:
rsync -ratvPz --stats -e ssh /mnt/nas2/pics firstname.lastname@example.org:server1
which I'm running as a regular user on my Ubuntu 7.4 system. My rsync version is:
rsync version 2.6.9 protocol version 29

I've spent two days scouring man pages, google and the forums but can't figure this one out. My service provider has looked hard too but they've never seen this error either. Any suggestions?
P.S. I don't get these errors when using the same rsync command on the same directory on my dedicated web server I own.
