remote desktop in suse 9.1 - grant access each session?

So I'm using SuSE 9.1, and happily so.

I want to be able to use a remote desktop connection (it's just vnc with security). I set up the server (also a SuSE 9.1 box) to allow uninvited connections. Deal is, every time I try to connect with the client, it just sits there with a window that says "authenticating..." Meanwhile, the server pops up with a window that wants to know if I'll accept the incoming connection. If I do, then the client can authenticate and connect. I don't mind the password authentication, I *do* mind having to allow the connection from the server every time I want to connect.

Ahem. What kind of remote access is this if I have to be in two places at the same time? How I can connect from the client without having to teleport to the server and press the button to grant access?

VNC is probably at fault, but there should be a config file somewhere, because I use VNC, and I don't have this problem.
I've just read on RealVNC's web site, that version 4 (which I suppose is latest) integrates into XFree, so that you just have to add Load "vnc" into the XF86config file. This method probably is less "invasive".

Yves.
